Where do I start, I loved Shadow of Mordor and I own the game of the year edition on PC and Xbox One. The map size, story, graphics, the entire campaign. That said, this is a campaign game. Its meant for people to enjoy the journey and story of the time piece and that's all. I personally don't feel like microtransactions should be in a game such as this or any other game based primarily on a single player story. With that said, i know you don't have to buy them, but here's the issue, there is a multiplayer mode being introduced as well that i'm sure people will want to play. If the enhancements that you are able to purchase works in the multiplayer mode, then we have a problem. Listen, a game that has a $60 price tag, and that offer a purchasable season pass at any price, shouldn't have these transactions in them. Even without the season pass they shouldn't be in the game. This crap became big with Grand Theft Auto 5 and has since became annoying as hell and a big game ruin-er. When this was started in GTA 5, they made the grind to get money much more difficult so buying in-game cash looked more appeasing. This is why hacking and modding became more frequent and popular. I don't want this game to go down that road. I was really looking forward to play this game on my channel but im not sure if i will buy this on day one anymore. I will probably wait until i see some reviews about this system first or a price drop, not sure yet. These things should only be in free-to-play titles or if they are not things that affects a characters abilities or strengths. I hope Shadow of War is a really good game and hope to have a better review about it when it comes out. But this is real heartbreaking, DAMN WB! Thank you guys for checking out The Lounge.
