Raiders of the Broken Planet is a third person coop/multiplayer
game that's currently in beta stages. I was lucky to take part in the beta over the weekend and have to say that I loved the game. Its five players on a mission that have beginning and ending cinematic sequences that gives it a more story/campaign feel though it's really a 30 minute or so mission. Before i go further, I have been in games where a player has actually been on the enemy team. I seen an option at the selection screen that says Antagonist but never selected it. Im guessing that is how a player can join the enemy team. Now this game game offers a lot in terms of fun gameplay. All the players are different as far as the actual character, abilities and weapons. No one can choose the same character in a match, and i think certain characters can't be picked at all depending on the satge you choose.The graphics were pretty good, animations were solid, movement took a little getting used to and they all move a little differently. There were moments where i was disconnected from the online, but upon starting the game back up
I was put back into the match i lost connection to which i was very pleased with. Now a match consists of objectives in order to go from A to B. In the first match i did, we had to rescue another character we were recruiting. So first we had to get to him and fight off enemies while we tried to get his cage to an elevator platform. After we got it there, we took fire from flying vehicles and had to use turrets to take them while engaging the enemy and another player. Afterwards there was another two or three segments. So it players like a story mode which I like. A lot of characters weren't available to play, if im not mistaken it was only about six, but for a two beta it was decent. I would recommend checking it out. I recorded gameplay but my recorder was lagging, by the time i fixed it, it was too late. So check YouTube im sure you can find some.
